- “How Can Education and Training Drive AI Adoption by Japanese Companies” Speaking at AI Education Promotion Meetup on April 15
On Wednesday, April 15, 2026, I will speak at the 10th AI Education Promotion Meetup of FY2025, hosted by the AI-Ready-Education Organization. The theme of the session is: “How Can Education and Training promote AI Adoption by Japanese Companies – Exploring Practical Solutions at the Meetup.”
There is no doubt that the use of AI—including generative AI and AI agents—will have a significant impact on the future competitiveness of companies. However, it has become clear that Japanese companies are significantly lagging behind their global counterparts in adopting and leveraging AI.
Various surveys targeting Japanese companies reveal multiple intertwined factors behind this delay. Because these factors are complex, identifying effective solutions is not easy. Nevertheless, if we don’t take any action now, the competitiveness of Japanese companies may continue to decline.
At the meetup, we will investigate into the current situation and explore solutions together with participants through interactive discussions centered around the following three questions:
Question 1: What are the barriers preventing Japanese companies from utilizing AI?
Question 2: What solutions can help overcome these barriers?
Question 3: What can education and training do to change the current situation?
For event details and registration information, please visit the AI-Ready Education Organization website or the event page on Peatix.
I look forward to meeting and discussing with you at the meetup!
