On Tuesday, January 27, I had the opportunity to speak at a press conference announcing Musashino University’s new Faculty of International Data Science (MIDS) in the Distance Learning Division.
I joined a panel discussion alongside President Konishi of Musashino University; Dean Kiyoki of the Faculty of Data Science; Professor Ishibashi; and Mr. Asaoka, Councillor of the Digital Agency. Together, we exchanged perspectives on the importance of data science education and the potential for contributing to global society by addressing local challenges.
The venue—Building 5, 1st Floor, at Musashino University’s Ariake Campus—was filled to capacity, with journalists in attendance. A number of media covered the event, and three representative articles are linked below.
I look forward to seeing many students and working professionals study data science at the Faculty of International Data Science, addressing global issues.
